• Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up technique of shaping and drawing eyebrows by hand. The process involves creating micro-cuts on the surface-layer of the skin and filling them with pigment. This creates a natural look, while the shape of the brow is calculated according to the golden intersection and facial symmetry.

How it works

PhiBrows is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion.

Why we love it

The treatment begins with a full in-depth consultation. During this consultation your experienced phi artist will measure out the correct brow shape for you according to the symmetry of your face. Symmetry is calculated using a specific PhiBrows tool. Investing an hour or two of your time can make you beautiful for years to come. The procedure is split into 2 appointments, which are 4-6 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take from 2, 3 hours, and your second appointment takes from 30-60 minutes.

treatable concerns

  • Hyperrealistic
  • Natural brow colour
  • Waterproof
  • Semi-permanent
  • No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure
  • No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)
  • No Retinol/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely
  • Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the procedure (or 2 weeks after)
  • Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure
  • No waxing or tinting 3 days before procedure
  • Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure
  • No alcohol or caffeine 24 hrs before procedure

Minimizing Scabbing

  • To help minimize scabbing, use a clean cotton-ball to lightly dab the microbladed area with lukewarm water about 6-7 times per hour and apply given SKIN CANDY with q-tips for the remainder of the day.

Days 1-7:

  • Wash the microbladed area twice per day followed by applying the SKIN CANDY.
  • At the start and end of each day, use your clean fingertips and a mild antibacterial soap, like Cetaphil, to gently cleanse your eyebrows for 10-15 seconds.
  • Avoid using any cleansing products that contain exfoliants or acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA).
  • Keep in mind the cleansing shouldn’t be a thorough scrub-down, it just needs to be done by rubbing the microbladed area in a soft, smooth manner.
  • When rinsing, be sure to rinse every trace of soap from the microbladed area.
  • Dry the entire eyebrow area completely by blotting it with a clean tissue.
  • Use a Q tip to apply a small amount of the Skin Candy to the microbladed area. Do not apply the ointment unless the area is dry.
  • Less is more when considering how much ointment to apply; the amount applied to each eyebrow should be comparable in size to half of a grain of rice.

Days 8-14:

  • The aftercare ointment no longer needs to be applied, but continue to gently wash the microbladed area each morning and night.

Things to Avoid

  • ***It’s critical to avoid the following for 14 days after your microblading procedure.
  • Touching the microbladed area except when washing or applying aftercare ointment.
  • Scratching, picking or peeling the microbladed area, as it can cause scarring and/or color loss.
  • Applying any makeup, moisturizer, lotion, or sunscreen to your eyebrows.
  • Sun exposure – sun tanning – salon tanning
  • Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation.
  • Exercise – participating in sports and activities that induce perspiration
  • Long, hot baths or showers – jacuzzis – saunas – swimming
  • Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid.
  • Engaging in tasks like heavy household cleaning where airborne debris can become prevalent.
  • Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, as it can cause wounds to heal slower.
  • Transportation in open-air-vehicles where strong wind is likely, for example; driving in cars with windows down, convertibles, motorcycles, bicycles, and boats.
